3 Peaks Challenge
Friday 10th - Sunday 12th July 2015
Our team took on the 3 Peaks Challenge; they competed to scale Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours!
The team travelled to Fort William, Scotland on the Friday, stayed overnight in a 3* hotel before starting the adventure on Saturday by heading to the summit of Ben Nevis after breakfast. The team then travelled to the Lake District to climb Scafell Pike that evening and finished by conquering Mount Snowdon early on Sunday in Wales!
This is a tough but magnificent event and participants were prepared to do it without much sleep! They completed the challenge in 24 hours - To do this they needed to complete Ben Nevis in 5 hours, Scafell Pike in 4 hours and Snowdon in 4 hours, and they all did it!
The course was guided by qualified mountain leaders and drivers and vehicles were provided for them so there was no need to hire a car or recruit someone to drive the team through the night. For a sneak peak at the spectacular views experienced during this challenge, click on an image below...
By challenging yourself for just 24 hours, you can provide a sustainable future to some of the world’s most vulnerable children.
Come and be part of something incredible.
