We are incredibly keen for people to come to Sierra Leone -
either just on a short trip to see our work; or to come for a
longer period of time and get involved.
We believe there is no better way to understand the gravity and complexity
of the situation on the ground, the wider national-context - and most importantly,
the passion of our staff and how our work really makes a difference.
And for you to enjoy Sierra Leone! Which, despite everything,
is a remarkably beautiful, welcoming, up-beat and exhilarating place to spend time.
Did you know that the original 'Bounty-Bar' adverts were filmed in Sierra Leone?
In February 2009 the Observer included Freetown in its series on 'the world's best
kept travel secrets'(click here).
Simple visits (normally 1 - 2 weeks)
Regardless of whether you are an existing supporter or just considering an investment with
Street Child of Sierra Leone, we would be delighted to facilitate a visit to see our work
in Makeni - or even the wider work of our partner, HANCi across Sierra Leone ...
We can organise volunteer placements to suit your skill either at our projects or with our
partners in the community, including schools and clinics for any duration greater than 2 weeks.
We are looking for excellent people for a 3 month internship in our small and friendly London office. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 26 October, click here for more details.
