  • 200 people attend 3 introductory evenings at Kensington Palace.
  • Hugely encouraging responses to Kensington Palace evenings
    • Fresh monthly standing orders.     
    • Generous ‘straight’ donations.     
    • Interest in visiting Sierra Leone (in fact several have since booked!) & lots of other ‘help’ responses - ranging from interest in joining our management committee, to approaching employers & trusts for donations, to promoting SCoSL in schools, to pledging to spread the word amongst friends and families, to admin help, to events ideas & help – and more!

  • SCoSL holds its first ‘mini-launch’ event at Kensington Palace after the London Marathon.
  • The SCoSL film is shown for the first time
  • SCoSL launches its web-site
  • Bertie and Emma Dannatt run the London Marathon for SCoSL, raising a fabulous sum for the renovation of the Children’s Clinic in Makeni.
  • SCoSL takes its first one-off and subscription donations into its bank account since receiving registered status from the Commission.

  • Bertie and Emma Dannatt hold the first designated SCoSL fund-raising event in Putney!
