Tom Dannatt
Tom founded SCoSL and leads the organisation on a day-to-day basis - alongside the specialist recruitment business he has run since 2002, JohnsonMagill. Tom is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the organisation's performance - the project work in Sierra Leone, fund-raising and charity administration. He travels to Sierra Leone regularly and is in touch with our work in the field most days. Tom holds a MSc in Human Rights and is also a qualified barrister.

Peter Garratt
Pete is the Disaster Relief Manager for the British Red Cross. He has eight years experience in international development, disaster response and community-based projects across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Pete previously worked in international corporate finance. He provides expert project management over-sight of both the quality and integrity of our field work in Sierra Leone. Further, Pete also shares the same unique insight as Fiona, of having lived and worked in Makeni. Pete holds a Masters degree in Development and Emergency Practice.
Pamela Dow
Pamela Dow is an Adviser to the Department for Education. A civil servant since 2007, in her previous career as a lobbyist she worked both as a private sector consultant and for a national children's charity. In December 2009 she volunteered on the Makeni project and looks forward to returning to see the the children and families she met through Street Child of Sierra Leone. Pamela also sits on the Board of the Directory of Social Change, a provider of information and training for the voluntary and community sector.
Alex Scott-Barrett
Alex Scott-Barrett is a qualified chartered accountant and spent 25 years working in the financial sector in London. He is currently a non executive director of a number of companies and trustee and treasurer of 5 charities
Dr Fiona Garratt
Fiona brings 2 outstanding qualities to the table. Firstly, as a professional Child Clinical Psychologist, she is able to provide expert over-sight of the core child protection and behavioural elements of SCoSL's work. Secondly, Fiona brings a live understanding of Sierra Leone and Makeni in particular - in 2004 she worked with her husband Pete for nine months in Makeni for the Canadian NGO 'Right to Play' (an organisation, SCoSL partners with in Makeni today!). Fiona's doctorate was in Clinical Psychology.
David Lloyd
David is a curate at St Marys Hampton. David previously worked in the City as a solicitor in the Private Individuals Division of Penningtons Solicitors LLP. There he specialised in advising trustees and executors in both the charitable and non-charitable sector. The Board is greatly strengthened by David's knowledge and experience of charity law and his passion for the causes of the charity.
Helena Hawthorn
Helena Hawthorn is a solicitor working in the City. She has run the pro bono operations for major city law firm (including establishing free legal advice clinic in Tower Hamlets and working closely with CAMFED - the campaign for female education in Africa). A lawyer since 2006, Helena also has worked as in house counsel for a major UK charity.
Lucinda Dannatt
Lucinda plays a key role advising across all aspects of our operations.
Lucinda adds particular expertise in her professional capacity as a barrister specialising in criminal, international and human rights law. She has worked for the United Nations in the Hague and Kosovo, the Bosnian War Crimes Chamber in Sarajevo, the European Court of Human Rights & most recently the Ministry of Justice in London.
Bart van der Vliet
After an eye- and heart-opening visit to Sierra Leone in June 2010, Bart committed himself to the schools building project in Tambakha. He co-leads the rural side of SCoSL and continues to keep practically involved in SL projects. In the UK he applies his professional skills to supporting finance, governance and fundraising.
Based in London since 1998, Bart has extensive experience in leading global change projects in corporate organisations. In his consulting and coaching work he supports (business) leaders from international organisations to achieve personal, social and organisational transformation.
Bart is a qualified chartered accountant and ICF accredited executive coach.
Megan Lees-McCowan
Megan is Street Child's Charity Manager. She joined on a permanent, full-time basis in October 2011 from a fundraising and communications role at the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative. Megan graduated from Cambridge with a French and German degree and has spent 9 months in West Africa over the past few years, working for a radio station in Senegal, a newspaper in Ghana and a secondary school in Togo.

Jannah Britt-Green
Jannah joined SCoSL in August 2011 and acts as head of events and communications, and also supports our volunteer programmes here and the team in Sierra Leone. She has spent time in Sierra Leone, where her husband has worked in job creation and with hydro-electric projects for the past few years. She holds degrees in the Arts & Communications and has further qualifications in Child Psychology & Ethics. She has worked in marketing, partner relations and has years of experience with different charities, including Orphans kNOw More and the Fairtrade Foundation. She has a passion for Sierra Leone that started when she was 16 and hopes to spend a lot more time there in the future.

Chloe Brett
Chloe was based in Johnson Magill's office and acted as coordinator for Street Child of Sierra Leone. She spent several months with HANCI in Sierra Leone project planning and evaluating existing work. Here in the UK Chloe looked after a range of Street Child's work including the volunteer scheme and events programme.

Emma Dannatt
Emma was based in JohnsonMagill's offices from February to June 2009 and has made a major contribution to the establishment of the charity - from our first fundraising events to fixing bank accounts to the design of this web-site. Emma also travelled to Sierra Leone in March 2009 to help document our initial work. Emma remains heavily involved - along with her husband Bertie (indeed they both ran the London Marathon for Street Child in April 2009, raising a fabulous sum towards the renovation of the Makeni Children's clinic)
Victoria Bowden
Vicki read Environmental Science at university and went on to become a secondary school teacher. She left her role as head of Geography department to join Street Child in September 2010. Vicki has traveled extensively and spent time with HANCI in summer 2009. Vicki was the previous UK manager for Street Child, but left in August 2011 to return to teaching
Anna Lloyd
Anna, Dave's wife, is hugely involved in our fund-raising and is an immense supporter. She is in fact working on developing art projects as a way to raise funds and awarenesss for the charity, especially within schools.
James Kennan
James travelled to Sierra Leone with Emma in March and was the camera-man, editor and script-writer for our excellent film!
Peter Hall
Peter also visited Street Child Makeni in March 2009 to make the promotional video with Emma and James. He remains a key supporter of the charity and has played a major role in helping gather support for and launch Street Child.
A multi-media journalist, he is also beginning a masters in Human Rights at LSE in the autumn.
