Requirements
- Ability and enthusiasm to make a positive contribution in your placement.
- Demonstrable commitment to the goals and work of Street Child of Sierra Leone.
- Resilience, intelligence and personal capacity to take care of yourself for an extended period in one of the most basic, impoverished countries in the world.
- Maturity to act as an ambassador for ‘Street Child of Sierra Leone’ and our partners at all times.
- Ability to entirely financially support your placement.
Further guidance:
- Individual applications are accepted – however pairs or small groups are preferred.
- We consider all applications on a case by case basis.
- Success is dependent upon demand for volunteers from our partners at any given time; and the personal qualities of the candidate(s).
- Applications from graduates with comparable work or voluntary experience in a developing country will normally be looked on favourably.
- All credible applicants will be invited for an informal interview.
