Why Sierra Leone?
1. The poorest country in the world.
Where else can be in greater need of help?
The UN Human Development Index (HDI) provides a composite measure of three dimensions of human development: living a long and healthy life, education and having a decent standard of living.
In 2008 the HDI again ranked Sierra Leone last (out of 179 countries).
Indeed almost every statistic you care to read on Sierra Leone is heart-breaking. Can you imagine a land where public health and medicine is so poor that one in four children do not live to see their fifth birthday? Or where women have a 12% lifetime risk of dying in child-birth?

On these measures can there be a country to whom help of any description, can be better directed?
