President of Sierra Leone praises Street Child and urges increased support for the charity’s work
President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma, a long-term supporter of Street Child, who took part in the annual Street Child marathon in 2013, has issued the following statement; endorsing, and urging, greater support for Street Child’s Ebola work in Sierra Leone. Especially the charity’s work on behalf of orphans.

"I am delighted to be able to send a message of sincere thanks to you for supporting Street Child in their vital work through the Ebola orphan appeal. I am incredibly grateful to Street Child for their assistance during this most trying and devastating time. I am a long standing supporter of Street Child's work and their efforts to deliver vital support to the most vulnerable children in our country. What is perfectly clear about Street Child is the fact that you can actually feel their presence on the ground all over Sierra Leone. They are doing things for children, and their work is needed now more than ever. There are already thousands of children who have been orphaned by Ebola and that number is sadly continuing to grow - Street Child has already helped so many of them, but there are so many more who urgently need their help. Please do everything you can to help Street Child's appeal, the need of orphans is more urgent than ever, your efforts will ensure that thousands of children orphaned by Ebola are given the help that they need over the coming months, They can't do it without your help. Thank you very much in anticipation of your valuable assistance."
