Street Child meets with Sierra Leonean Minister of Social Welfare as plans to roll out humanitarian aid develop

The team in Sierra Leone met with the Minister of Social Welfare today and have received a formal letter requesting our assistance in combating the spread of Ebola throughout the country.

A meeting with UNICEF is anticipated later in the week.

Street Child’s first distributions of rice, buckets and chlorine in Lunsar, Bo and Kenema, three of the worst affected Ebola towns, are planned for the weekend. Following today's meeting, these efforts will be delivered in conjunction with the Ministry of Social Welfare. There will also be a small symbolic distribution in Freetown.
