Street Child distributes 15,000 meals during Sierra Leone national lockdown
Our staff were busy ensuring that over 15,000 meals were provided last weekend across Sierra Leone during an enforced three-day lockdown as part of a governmental drive to help stem the spread of Ebola.
Working in conjunction with UK Aid across the weekend our staff across the country were busy doing all that they could to ensure that those at risk of going hungry had access to food. Street Child’s efforts ensured that in excess of 3,000 children and families were fed throughout Sierra Leone across the three days.
Our efforts were covered on the ground by the BBC’s World Service and were featured in the Evening Standard.
