IMAGINE IF education was forbidden
At Street Child we have proved that it is possible to help some of the hardest to reach children to receive an education.
Many of you joined with us as together we fought for street children who weren’t being given a chance, as we helped more than 40,000 Ebola impacted children to go to school in West Africa and as we supported children affected by the earthquake in Nepal.
Now we face a new challenge. There are 3 million children in need of education and urgent support in Northern Nigeria. Since 2011, conflict has forced more than 2 million people to flee their homes. Schools have been destroyed and teachers have been killed.
"It’s the biggest crisis on the continent and it’s being ignored, what’s happening in Aleppo is horrendous, but it’s equally bad in north-east Nigeria – it’s just a different context.”
UNOHCA (UN Office for Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs)
"This is a completely hidden emergency. The international community hasn't responded on any scale at all."

We need to act now.
We want to provide safe, inclusive spaces for children to learn. We want to give these children the chance to go to school.
But we cannot do it without your support.
We need to raise £100,000 to start our new programme in Nigeria and help thousands of children impacted by the conflict.
