THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR RIGHT TO LEARN APPEAL

Thank you to everyone who supported our ‘Right to Learn’ appeal this winter. We’re very excited to announce that together with UK Aid Match funding we have raised over £3 million for vulnerable children’s education in West Africa.

In fact, we have already begun a brand new project helping 10,000 children in eastern Sierra Leone to go to school and learn. Eastern Sierra Leone alone was badly impacted by the civil war and was the first to be impacted by the Ebola outbreak. As a result, there are 89,000 children aged between 6 and 14 who are out of school. A further 24,000 children who are in junior secondary school are at risk of dropping out.

Our brand new project, supported by funds raised through our Right to Learn appeal will support 10,000 children in eastern Sierra Leone to go to school and learn. We
will:
- support 5,000 of the most vulnerable children to go to school
- support 3,750 families to set up businesses
- build or improve 35 primary schools

This wouldn’t be possible without you. Thank you from everyone at Street Child.
