Street Child were delighted to be invited to participate in an event organised by Bond (the UK network for organisations working in international development) exploring the results of the Department for International Development’s (DFID) recent AidWorks pilot campaign. The pilot was run to test ways to build public support for aid by explaining what UK Aid achieves using different messages, different communications channels and messengers.
Street Child were invited to showcase key elements of our 'Count Me In' UK Aid Match campaign which ran from November 2018 to February 2019. Carol Flint - Street Child's Head of Marketing, presented on how we worked with our high profile patrons and ambassadors to create awareness of our campaign across national and regional media channels as well as social media.
DFID also shared results, evidence and experiences from the pilot campaign which was evaluated by the University of Birmingham providing us and other attending organisations with new ideas on how to use communications to build public support for international development.
