#runtogether this July

At the end of the month it is International Day of Friendship - and what better way to celebrate than grabbing some friends and going for a run?

All this month we've been asking our runners and supporters to tell us what they love most about running with friends.

Here's Usha's story:

Street Child's International Volunteering coordinator Usha has a fair amount of experience running and fundraising for Street Child. She's also part of the Street Child Running Club - a few colleagues who've got together to brave the City pavements and run to destress after work. Tracking each other on the STRAVA app, the Street Child Running Club has become a great way for the team to come together and bond out of the office, motivating each other to improve each week while staying fit.

Last month, Usha ran the Wimbledon Half Marathon with two other Street Child colleagues and here's what she has to say about her experience:

"Running the Wimbledon Half Marathon together with friends from work turned out to be an unintentional team-building exercise when one of my colleagues injured her hip after 11 miles and had to be carried across the finish line by the rest of us. I believe we're a better team today for it."
